I first met Courtney a few years ago at an Oklahoma blogging conference. I was new to the state and knew very very few people outside of my family.

There I was in a room full of bloggers I didn't know, I was beyond uneasy and jittery. Courtney went out of her way to say "hello" and to make me feel welcomed. Honestly, she was so lovely, and we clicked right away. The thing that immediately caught my attention about Courtney was her happy warmth and beautiful smile.

After the conference, we kept in touch, and when it was time to start developing my photography portfolio, I immediately thought of her and knew exactly where we would have our shoot.

Photoshoot Location: White Brick Ivy Covered Building Edmond, OK

I stumbled upon this stunning ivy-covered building that was set back from the road while driving with my family. I've driven this route numerous times, but I've never seen it before. Its fairytale mystery drew me in immediately. The way it alluded to English country castles piqued my interest; moreover, I loved how no one would even guess this location was in Oklahoma.

I just had to have a photoshoot here and Courtney was the perfect model for this location.

Photoshoot Theme: English Ivy Garden Tea Party

The theme of our photo session was storybook English ivy garden tea party vibes. I really wanted to convey Courtney's joy and optimism in a flirty, feminine, and beautiful way. And my objective for the images was to capture Courtney in her natural element, happiness.
