The Vision: Galentine's Day? Whaaaaaat?

Are you familiar with Galentine's Day? Not to be confused with Valentine's Day. Well, this was the first year that I've heard of and celebrated Galentine's Day. And guess what? I freak'n loved it!So what is Galentine's Day? According to Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler's character on Parks and Recreation),

Oh, it's only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it . . . Ladies celebrating ladies. It's like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. . .

And that's just what us girls just did. We kicked it at Kate Spade, Galentine Day style.

The Party: Galentine Day with Kate Spade

Kate Spade provided the gorgeous backdrop for my Blogger Boo and Photo Diva, Sarah K and Christine Wright's Galentine's Day celebration. Champagne, sweets, shopping and girlfriend time, COUNT ME IN!

About My Look:

I must admit that my shopping has drastically been curbed lately. During the day I work as a Sales Director. And lemme tell you, for the next few months this girl is and will be busy!!!!!! It's officially busy season. So to my dismay, I wasn't able to run out and "grab" a little something something for my girl's Galentine's Day event at Kate Spade. Disappointed, I headed to my closet to try to "put something together." To my surprise, I found this amazing jumper tucked deep in the back of my closet that I had long forgotten about. #SCORE! With the holidays just ending, the $25,000 questions was, "could I still fit it?" Fingers crossed, I was able to slip and zip with no problems. YESSSS!

I wore a jumper/jumpsuit/onesie-type situation to the Galentine's Day event. The jumper was perfect not only for comfort but in theme as well. Galentine's Day = flower patterns, pink and pastels. I wore my tassel earrings from Burdlife and received so many compliments. I absolutely LOVE them.
