WOW! You'll be blown away the moment you walk through the door of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. A magnificent 55-foot tower, created by glass sculptor Dale Chihuly, adorns the atrium and sets the stage for what's to come. A diverse one-of-a-kind collection is on display throughout the museum, from contemporary to European to American artworks. Make sure to snap a picture under the prismatic glass ceiling in the hallway of the Dale Chihuly Glass exhibit for a really unique photo opp. 

Oklahoma City Zoo

The ultimate kids activity in Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Gardens has delighted visitors young and old since 1902. Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum

The Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum is a place that remembers the events that transpired on April 19, 1995. The memorial elegantly honors the 168 people and 19 children who were killed in the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. It also pays tribute to the countless number of survivors and first responders who were affected by the tragedy, and it provides a place for healing for those who were affected. The Oklahoma City National Memorial grounds include the “Gates of Time” framing the reflecting pond, a field of 168 bronze empty chairs that commemorate each person who died in the bombing, and two large Survivor Trees that were badly burned but still standing. 

Science Museum Oklahoma

The Science Museum Oklahoma is a repository of things that can stimulate a person's imagination. Embroidered from the threads of wonder, this museum is sure to be a place where memories are made. From the hands-on science experiences to the space simulators, it has something for everyone.

View Art at Hotel 21c

If you're looking for something fun and unique to check out, be sure to visit Hotel 21c. Located in a former Ford Motor Company assembly plant, this art-inspired boutique hotel is home to a constantly rotating collection of contemporary art and sculpture. You don't need a reservation or an overnight stay to explore the museum - just stop by for a guided tour or take things at your own pace. When you're done, head to Mary Eddy's for craft cocktails and cuisine.

Paseo Arts District

The Paseo Arts District is one of the coolest neighborhood districts in Oklahoma City. With Southwest-inspired vibes, stucco buildings with clay roofs, lush trees mixed with arid vegetation, and an art-friendly community, it's no wonder this neighborhood is one of the best things about OKC. There are also a ton of great restaurants, cafes, and art galleries so you can easily spend an afternoon or evening there. Plus, the Paseo Arts District is conveniently located right near the heart of downtown OKC.

Civic Center Music Hall

Constructed in 1937, this beautiful and historic building is home to the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, and it's also home to a variety of other events, including concerts, plays, ballets, musicals, and more. The Civic Center Music Hall is definitely worth a visit if you're in town!

Who doesn't love a good history museum? The Oklahoma History Center is one of the most interesting places to hang out in the city. It's so much more than just another tourist attraction and a boring, old building with things on the walls. A Smithsonian Affiliate museum, the Oklahoma History Center has interactive exhibits, extensive collections that tell stories about Oklahoma's past, and even has an airplane, the Winnie Mae, suspended from its ceiling!

Take a Boat Ride Down the Bricktown Canal

Boat rides in the Bricktown Water Taxi are always a fun way to spend an afternoon in Oklahoma City. The canal is a great way to enjoy the sights of the Bricktown Entertainment District in Oklahoma City from a totally different perspective. Book a sunset dinner cruise or stop by some of the local restaurants and shops, or simply just sit, kick back, and enjoy the ride. Be sure to check out this attraction on your next visit to OKC!

If you're looking for a great time in Oklahoma City, be sure to check out the Bricktown Entertainment District! This district is home to some of the best restaurants, shops, and theaters in the city. You can enjoy a stroll through the district and stop by some of the most popular attractions, such as the American Banjo Museum and Brickopolis for a little family fun. Completed in 1917, this incredible building is a must-see for any tourist when you visit Oklahoma City. Many of the murals in the Oklahoma State Capitol building are painted by Native American artists, and some tell stories about things that happened on nearby Route 66. There are also massive sculptures and other awe-inspiring art pieces that make the Oklahoma State Capitol building a true treasure. Take a guided or self-guided tour throughout and see where laws are made and passed in the legislative branch or just wander on your own through the architecturally stunning building.

Try Some New Flavors at Pops Soda Ranch

If you're looking for a unique experience while in Oklahoma City, be sure to check out Pops Soda Ranch! This attraction is located on historic Route 66, and it's the perfect place to try something new. You can enjoy a variety of sodas, from classics like root beer and cola to more unique flavors like bacon and ranch. Lake Hefner is a gorgeous spot in Oklahoma City, perfect for a day out with friends or family. There are things to do there, from fishing to biking and flying a kite. Relax on the shoreline, take in the stunning views.  Plan a sunset visit to the lighthouse for an evening unlike any other! Or grab your tennis shoes and burn some calories strolling along the Lake Hefner walking and nature trails! If you're looking for a fun day trip, be sure to check out Lake Hefner!

Watching the sunset set over Lake Hefner at Red Rock Canyon is a favorite of Oklahoma City locals. If you're looking for things to do in OKC, look no further! Bradford House is the place for you. This historic building has been remodeled into a luxurious restaurant, bar, and boutique hotel. With colorfully unique decor and hand-selected furnishings, you're sure to find a spot that inspires your next photo. So grab a cocktail and snap away in the gold and green bar area, or the pink Asian zodiac-inspired room, or maybe in front of the grand staircase in the grand foyer. The possibilities are endless!  And don't forget to enjoy the wraparound front porch!  Bradford House is a must-see and must-stay in Oklahoma City.

Overholser Mansion

It's always fun to step back in time! The Overholser Mansion is the perfect place to do just that. Located in the historic neighborhood of Heritage Hills, the Overholser Mansion is a beautiful example of a grand home. Constructed in 1903 by Henry Overholser, the "Father of Oklahoma City", the Overholser Mansion is now open to the public. You can take a guided tour to see all of the rooms or you can choose to explore on your own. So be sure to set aside some time for this OKC treasure!

National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum

The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum is one of Oklahoma City's most popular attractions. A wonderful place to learn about the history of the American West, the museum features exhibits that focus on the early history of the American frontier. The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum has one of the largest collections in the world, including cowboy art, rodeo photographs, saddlery, teepees, American Indian art, and historic manuscripts. 

Will Rogers Park

Created in honor of the famous Oklahoma cowboy and humorist, Will Rogers, the Will Rogers Park has two things in abundance: beauty and charm. One of Oklahoma City's oldest parks, the Will Rogers Park offers picnic areas for families, sports fields and courts that can be rented out, children's playground, and more. Get lost in the Charles E. Sparks Rose Garden, which features over 3,000 rose plants of more than 150 varieties, then find your way to the "jewel of the Gardens", Ed Lycan Conservatory, a spectacular glass-enclosed greenhouse inspired by 19th-century Victorian architecture. You'll discover another fantastic photo opportunity, as well as one of the state's biggest permanent collections of cacti and succulents in this spot.

If you're looking for a fun and relaxing day out, then be sure to visit the Myriad Botanical Gardens and Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory in downtown Oklahoma City. Here you can enjoy a stroll through 15 acres of lush gardens and ornamental plantings. Take a nostalgic ride on the carousel or let your puppy live its best life leash-free in the Myriad Botanical Gardens dog park.

Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory

After exploring the Myriad Gardens, head inside to the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory for an up-close look at some of the most unique gorgeous exotic plants and flowers. You can enjoy the waterfall and this lush space while staying protected from the Oklahoma weather. But just remember, temperatures inside the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory can get hot, humid and well. . . tropical. So make sure to plan your trip accordingly.

Catch an OKC Thunder Game

Who doesn't love a good NBA basketball game? If you're a basketball fan and in the mood for some excitement, be sure to check out an OKC Thunder game. The energy in the Paycom Center (formerly Chesapeake Energy Arena) is electric, and there's nothing quite like hearing "Thunder Up" chanted by a packed house. Just a few blocks from the downtown area, you can enjoy a pre-game meal at one of the many restaurants in the area, or buy some game-appropriate snacks– hot dogs, popcorn, and ice-cold beer at the concessions stand!

Ride the Ferris Wheel at Wheeler Riverfront Plaza

The Wheeler Riverfront Plaza is home to a giant 100-foot tall Ferris Wheel that's perfect for a summer day or evening out. Formerly located on the iconic Santa Monica Pier in California, the Wheeler Ferris Wheel has quite the resume being spotted in several Hollywood movies, commercials, and music videos. On a clear day, you can see for miles from the top.  And the Wheeler Ferris Wheel offers panoramic views of Oklahoma City's downtown and the Oklahoma River, making it a perfect date night for you and your sweetheart.

Ride a Roller Coaster at Frontier City Theme Park 

If you're looking for a thrilling day out, Frontier City is the place to be! With a range of adrenaline-pumping roller coasters and family rides, there's something for everyone. Plus, there are plenty of games and shows to keep you entertained. 

Make a Splash at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Water Park

This exciting water park is home to a variety of thrilling water slides, a wave pool, and attractions, including the Dive Bomb, the Mega Wedgie, and the Blackbeard's Revenge.
