I've always had a love/hate relationship with hairspray.  Truth be told, it was mostly hate and very very very light on the love.  Growing up in the nineties if your hair wasn't fried, dyed and sprayed to the side, you weren't living.

How to Get Effortless Curls

How I get my curls to last

*For tighter curls, I use a 1 1/2" inch flat iron

*For hair with more body (looser, larger curls), I use a 2" inch curling iron

Lightly mist hair with a heat protectant.  Next, pin up hair and work with 1" inch sections.  Lightly spray each section with hairspray prior to curling.  After curling, let the curl begin to cool.  To finish cooling, pin curl each section by using 2 fingers (index and middle) to coax into a large loose curl (think roller without the roller).  While my hair sets, I do my make-up, brush my teeth, and frantically try on about 10 outfits because I can't make up my mind.  Once my hair is cool, I gently release the pins from my curls.  Flip, shake and finger comb my hair into place.  Spray with hairspray and go.
