Suede Dress & Boots for Thicker Legs
Rejoice! Boots for Thicker Legs Do Exist!
I LOVE boot season. Boots are everywhere from runways to magazines to social media. There is absolutely no escaping them. For several fashion seasons, boots have been such an on-trend, essential staple for any fashionista's Fall/Winter wardrobe. Boots are EVERYWHERE.
Small problem . . . Boot shopping has NEVER been fun for me. Why? Well, when you are "blessed" with thicker legs and calves, boot shopping quickly becomes TRAUMATIZING.
Imagine spotting that perfect pair of over-the-knee boots at your favorite department store. And, they are in your size (*Bonus). You slip your foot in them (heaven) annnnnnd you cannot zip them past the middle of your calf. In a panic, you look around to see if anyone saw the #fail that just occurred. Suddenly, the perfect over-the-knee boot has become the many seasons ago slouch boot (think Pirates of the Caribbean). So close, but yet so, so far away. What's even more embarrassing, is the silently awkward moment that you and the sales associate are now forced to share. What's next? You promptly remove the boot and file that traumatic moment under #thickgirlproblems. Gather your pride to walk out of another store disappointed and trying to convince yourself that the "Boot Trend" is entirely way too "over-rated" and just not meant for a lady with thicker legs. Until, this season . . .National retailers like DSW and Nordstrom have done an amazing job of featuring "Wide Calf" (and "Narrow Calf") boot options on their websites. Rejoice! No more traumatic public boot fittings!
These amazing over-the-knee black suede boots are not only comfortable but made my legs look longer and leaner (*Score!) Not to mention they paired oh, so well with the camel suede dress from one of my absolute favorite boutiques. Plus, this dress is under $25 (*Double Score!)
