Velvet Bodysuit + Velvet Shoes

Can we acknowledge that velvet is totally having a moment right now?  From velvet dresses to velvet shoes to velvet purses, velvet is so MAY-JA (*pronounced "major* in my Victoria Beckham voice) this season.  Annnnnnd, I truly want ALL the velvet feels.  Give it to me now!

Oh, I remember the velvet of the 90's and I wore the HELL out of it at EVERY special occasion and every chance I got.  Oh, there's a school dance on Saturday?  Great, I've got just the velvet dress to wear.  Oh there's a formal dinner?  Hold-up, lemme grab a long black velvet dress from my closet.  Oh there's a football game tonight and it's 90° and humid, I know just the right velvet tee to wear with a pair of shorts.  Ha!

How about this ruffled velvet ASOS bodysuit?  How perfect is it?  I will admit, I first tried this velvet bodysuit on with a skinny black jegging.  Needless to say, that combo didn't work well at all.  I love how these ASOS high-waist tapered trousers look with this bodysuit.  It really gives this velvet outfit a jumpsuit feel.  Other ideas for a velvet bodysuit:  Try a suede fringe skirt like this (here)or thesevelvet loafers that I'm totally obsessed with (here).
