Budget Friendly Tips to Transition Your Wardrobe to Fall

Balling on a Budget

Transitioning your wardrobe from Summer to Fall doesn't have to break the bank

Finally, I Thought the Day Would Never Come!

Today is the day.

Today is the day that the temperature is FINALLY dropping in Houston.

#WINNING!

Basically Speaking Facts Are Facts

Think I'm being a little dramatic?  Well, join the club(along with my mother).Facts are Facts.  Houstonians get shafted on the full Fall experience.  While most of the country is wearing cozy sweaters, sipping their PSL and wearing their UGGs, we are still running our A/C at 70 and still taking dips in the pool.Hard life right?Well it is, if you are obsessed with all things Fall like me.

Houston doesn't really get cold until late December/January, we are basically stuck in a transitional wardrobe purgatory.  Because of this, I like to think we, Houstonians, are experts in transitional fashion.  Seriously out of necessity, we have truly mastered the art of dressing for Fall while wearing items from Summer at the same time.

Got Fall Accessories?

One of my absolute favorite ways to transition my wardrobe is by adding a few key Fall accessories.  This white Target racerback tank top is a summer time staple and never goes out of style.  Not to mention, I've legit had it for well over 6 years (not even embarrassed).  Just know, I'm never letting it go . . . not even for colder weather.  One of my favorite ways to rock my Target tank is with a pair of Express flare jeans and a Banana Republic belt for an instant vintage feel.  Adding a cozy sweater, plaid scarf and wool floppy hat brings this warm weather look into the current season.

Not only is it a seamless way to transition your wardrobe, it's super budget friendly too.

Here are Some More Budget-friendly Ways to Transition Your Wardrobe With Fall Accessories:

1.  Add a Scarf

2.  Wear a Jacket or Sweater:

Don't be afraid to try a moto jacket or a blazer (like this)

3.  Boot it:

An ankle or over-the-knee boot will do.  Just get your boot on!

4.  Wear Tights:

Fishnets and opaque tights are some of my favorites.

5.  Put a Hat on:

My personal favorite way to transition by far.  I just LOVE how a hat just adds such a sassy finishing touch.
